Jordan Rhodes has impressed in the early stages of his loan spell at Carrow Road from Championship rivals Sheffield Wednesday, miuch to the delight of manager Daniel Farke.
Farke has been impressed with Rhodes attitude and reaction to being dropped for their Championship match against Middlesbrough, as well as his attacking ability.
He told PinkUN:
“His reaction after being left out (against Middlesbrough) was so good. He told me he enjoys it so much to play in this yellow shirt and with these lads,” said Farke.
“In terms of his quality on this level he has an unbelievable instinct inside the box.
“The second thing is his attitude. He is highly motivated to score and focused on doing so but not in a selfish way, more like he wants to help the team and work for the team. That is crucial.
“When you have those together you deserve all the luck and it is then up to the team to prepare as many situations as we can to bring him closer to the opponent’s goal.
“Jordan doesn’t need any more motivation. He is a big character. Maybe in the last few years he was struggling to play and be involved. For that reason, I think Norwich is the perfect place for him.
“He has a team and a coach and fans who love him. Our style of play suits him a lot.”
Rhodes has scored five goals in 11 appearances this season, including a hat trick against Wycombe Wanderers in Tuesday night’s Carabao Cup 4-3 win at Adams Park. The 28-year-old will be competing for a place in The Canaries’ starting 11 this weekend, as new striker Teemu Pukki continues to impress, scoring three goals in his last three games.
