Hull City have two players out on loan at the moment in the National League in Will Mannion and Callum Burton.
The two young goalkeepers were allowed to leave after Hull signed shot stopper George Long from fellow Championship side Sheffield United in the summer. Here is how they are getting on-
Will Mannion, Aldershot-
The highly-rated ‘keeper joined Aldershot on loan in August on a deal until January and has so far played twice for them in the National League and has conceded twice. Big things are expected from the 20-year-old at Hull and many are tipping him to break into the first-team in the future. Therefore, it is important he gains some senior experience.
He joined the Tigers in 2016 from AFC Wimbledon and has played once for their first-team in a League Cup tie against Doncaster Rovers in August 2017. Mannion has mainly been used in the Under-23’s and also spent time on loan at Plymouth Argyle last season.
Callum Burton, Chesterfield-
The 22-year-old has started to establish himself as Chesterfield’s number one under Martin Allen. He has so far played four times and has impressed for the Spirerites in the firth tier. Burton has conceded four goals so far but is becoming a hit with his solid displays.
Burton signed for Hull last summer from League One outfit Shrewsbury Town, having previously represented England at Under-16, Under-17 and Under-18 level as a youngster. He is yet to play for the Tigers’ senior side but did gain some first-team minutes during a loan stint at Salford City in the last campaign.
