Marcelo Bielsa has had a hard time in the last week. Injuries have been mounting up but he’s convinced his players will cope with the situation. Millwall is probably the biggest test of the season so far, not far in front of the Middlesbrough game before the international break.
Leeds United XI
GK – Baily Peacock-Farrell – Keeps up his record of starting every game so far this season.
RB – Luke Ayling – A big game for the full-backs today. Stopping crosses at source crucial.
CB – Pontus Jansson – Back in the side and will want to make the most of the injury to Berardi.
CB – Liam Cooper – (c) – Has talked this week about how this isn’t the same team as last season. Only one way to prove it.
LB – Barry Douglas – Same situation as Ayling. Getting caught out isn’t an option today.
DM – Kalvin Phillips – A big game today. Morison will drop and try and stop him from getting the ball short.
CM – Mateusz Klich – He won’t be worried if this turns physical.
CAM – Samu Saiz – Reborn under Marcelo Bielsa and needs to make the right calls in the final third today.
RW – Jack Harrison – Had a good first full game against Boro and will want to back it up today.
LW – Gjanni Alioski – Had the worst off all his Leeds games in this fixture last season. Can put it right today
ST – Tyler Roberts- What an opportunity for him. Made his Wales debut last week and now this.
