Championship outfit Bolton Wanderers are set to enter administration following a failure to agree on a loan repayment fee with BluMarble, according to Sky Sports.
Going into administration would represent a disaster for the club, with the playing side set to be handed a 12-point deduction which would undo all of the hard work of manager Phil Parkinson so far from this season.
The Trotters currently sit 8th in the Championship table after recording three wins and two draws from their opening six Championship games, but a hefty 12-point deduction would put a huge dent in their survival hopes.
Talking in a statement following the news, chairman Ken Anderson said “They (BluMarble) will now need to fund the club administration going forward, which will take a minimum of three months and will automatically put the club in a two-year transfer embargo and a minimum immediate points deduction of 12 points.
“In my opinion, their actions will substantially reduce the value of the club in respect of any future sale and will make it far more difficult to find a future investor/buyer.”
