Rochdale gain new number nine

Calvin Andrew has joined Rochdale on a free transfer, Sky Sports’ Transfer Centre has confirmed and he will sign a two-year deal at Spotland.

The 27-year-old has joined after a trial since leaving York City at the end of last season.

The striker will wear Number 9 for the Dale and play up front in a higher league than last season. Through his career, Andrew has featured for a number of clubs including Luton, Crystal Palace and Port Vale throughout his career.

He joins Spotland since the departure of Scott Hogan to Brentford has taken place and will look to impress his new suitors this season.
