Hull City, Bolton Wanderers and Birmingham City want Everton midfielder

Hull City, Bolton Wanderers, Birmingham City and Bristol City are all keen on loaning Everton midfielder Joe Williams, according to Football Insider.

It is apparently Bolton who are leading the race for the highly-rated midfielder and they look to keep him in the North-West.

Williams, who is 21-years-old, spent last season on loan at Barnsley in the Championship and played 38 games for the Tykes in all competitions, scoring once. He could not prevent them from relegation to League One but still impressed in his first loan spell away from Goodison Park.

He was born in Liverpool and joined the Toffees at the age of 7. He rose through the youth ranks of the Merseyside club but is yet to play for their first-team. Their new manager, Marco Silva, is keen for him to gain some more game time so a loan move would be ideal for him.

Bolton will be hoping to see off competition from other Championship sides to land him. The Trotters have delved into the loan and free transfer markets well this summer as they have looked to boost their squad.

Hull City are also keen on Williams. The Tigers need to bring in some more players before the loan window shuts and have also been linked with a move for Crystal Palace winger Sulley Kaikai.

The likes of Birmingham City and Bristol City are being credited with an interest in Williams as well but it appears they will have to look elsewhere for potential loan signings.
