Panathinaikos, Rennes and Genoa keen on Hull City winger

Panathinaikos, Rennes and Genoa are all keen on Hull City winger Kamil Grosicki, according to the Yorkshire Post.

The Poland international looks likely to leave the Tigers before the end of the transfer window at the end of August. European sides can sign players on permanent deals until then.

Grosicki, who was left out of Hull’s squad for their 1-0 defeat at home to Blackburn Rovers yesterday, is being linked with various clubs across Europe including Panathinaikos, Genoa and a return to his former club Rennes. Ligue 1 side Montpellier have also been linked with him in recent weeks, so he is not short of suitors.

He joined the Tigers in January 2017 from Rennes for a fee of around £7 million but he could not prevent them from slipping into the Championship in his first season at the club.

Grosicki represented Poland is country at the World Cup in Russia this summer and played in all three of their group games.

He stayed with Hull in the second tier last season despite being constantly linked with moves away from the KCOM Stadium. He played 38 games in all competitions and managed 9 goals.

Grosicki is a top player in the Championship on his day and showed glimpses of genuine quality for Hull last season. However, inconsistency and attitude have affected his Tigers’ career to date.

With all the asset stripping that has gone on at Hull City over the past couple of years, it will be no surprise to see Grosicki be the next to leave the sinking ship. The Tigers are in desperate need of some new signings and have today been linked with Middlesbrough duo Ashley Fletcher and Marvin Johnson, as reported by The72 earlier.
