5 teams to watch out for in League 2 this season

Northampton Town

NorthamptonAfter a wretched time last term, there are plenty of reasons for Northampton Town fans to be positive this season. Manager Chris Wilder has assembled an excellent looking squad which has included the arrivals of top League 2 players like Zander Diamond, John-Joe O’Toole and Marc Richards. These arrivals signal a change in direction for the Cobblers, particularly since they are all on 3-year-deals which means that the constant chopping and changing at Sixfields is unlikely to be a recurring theme for too much longer. Defensively the squad is about as strong as it could be with the likes of Diamond, Lee Collins, Kelvin Langmead and Gregor Robertson making sure the centre-back position is fully stocked whilst Evan Horwood and Daniel Alfei look as though they could both be very successful for the club. Whilst there is plenty of quality up front, the Cobblers do look a striker light but if Wilder can rectify this then there is no reason why the Cobblers can’t compete this season.
