Aston Villa fans react as three players set to make debuts

Aston Villa fans were mostly happy with the team selected to face Wigan Athletic with Orjan Nyland, Axel Tuanzebe and John McGinn are set to make debuts.

The Villains got off to the best possible start last week as they were able to come from behind to beat Hull City 3-1 in front of the Sky Sports cameras. But they will be facing another team that got off to a positive start last week. The Latics, just promoted from Sky Bet League One as champions, beat Sheffield Wednesday 3-2 to show they were capable of competing in this league.

Aston Villa’s team for this match reflects the business the club have been doing this week. The club have not been able to make signings for a lot of the summer due to financial problems but the recent takeover has allowed them to be active again in the transfer market again. They were able to make a few signings before transfer deadline day and that is reflected in the first team as they hand debuts to recent signings Orjan Nyland, Axel Tuanzebe and John McGinn.

But while Aston Villa fans are mostly happy with these dbeutants making their debut and the first team overall, there are some reservations. One of the players dropped to make way for the new signings was Conor Hourihane, of the club’s better perfomers since they have been in the Sky Bet Championship. But even that is a debated point as some believe he goes missing in games too often.
