With kick-off just under an hour away, Leeds United have released their starting XI and general match day squad Below) to face Derby County.
The Whites will be looking to continue the rich brand of football that they showed in dominating relegated Stoke City. That game saw the Whites employ Marcelo Bielsa’s pressing brand of football to perfection, harrying the Potters to such a degree that the final 3-1 scoreline flattered them.
Goals from Mateusz Klich, Pablo Hernandez and Liam Cooper, against a Benik Afobe penalty was enough to see Leeds United though against strong opponents. Today’s starting XI shows no changes from the side who started against Stoke last Sunday, Marcelo Bielsa resisting the temptation to introduce Pontus Jansson and £7million striker buy Patrick Bamford into the fray. Meanwhile, the bench shows one change, youngster Jamie Shackleton being brought into the matchday squad due to Stuart Dallas’ injury.
