Middlesbrough, Middlesbrough could land Everton duo on loan deals

Middlesbrough could land Everton duo on loan deals

Middlesbrough could still sign Everton duo Mo Besic and Yannick Bolasie on loan deals, according to the Yorkshire Post.

Boro saw a £6 million move for Besic, who spent last season on loan with them in the Championship, fall through on deadline day yesterday. This was much to the frustration of their manager, Tony Pulis, who wanted to bring in some more players.

Nevertheless, there is still the opportunity to sign players on loan before the loan window shuts at the end of the August. Therefore, Middlesbrough are being heavily tipped to sign Besic on a loan deal with a view to a permanent move in January.

The same could potentially apply to Yannick Bolasie as well. Boro were also keen on signing him from Everton yesterday but may now have to settle on trying to negotiate a loan move for him.

Tony Pulis was left frustrated by seeing bids for QPR midfielder Luke Freeman and Millwall’s Jed Wallace turned down yesterday as well.

Middlesbrough have been busy in the transfer market this summer as they look to build a squad capable of mounting another promotion push. They have delved into the window to sign Aden Flint from Bristol City, Paddy McNair from Sunderland, experienced goalkeeper Andy Lonergan on a free transfer and Jordan Hugill on a season-long loan from West Ham United.

They are likely to not be the only signings this summer with Boro expected to be busy in the loan market, along with many other Championship sides.
