The 24-year-old striker scored 10 goals in 34 appearances in his one and only season at Mansfield last season following his transfer from Peterborough United.
Lee Angol said this about his deadline day move to Shrewsbury Town: “I’m excited”
“Once I knew this opportunity could happen, I was just hoping it would get over the line.”
“You can see what direction this club is heading and I want to be a part of that, so I am excited.”
“It’s a very good move. At my age now, I need to be playing games, not letting seasons go by.”
“It would be nice to be a part of a team that is pushing for the Championship. Hopefully, everyone plays well and we can achieve it.”
“I’m excited to be coming back to League One. I want to prove my self and hopefully keep pushing on.”
“I feel like I can add goals,” the striker said.
“I like to score goals, I like to make a positive impact on the team and lead the line well.”
“I don’t play for my self, I play for the whole team and the fans. Once everyone is together, I feel that’s how you get positive results.”
“In general play I can drop off and pick balls up in holes, drift out wide and create opportunities.”
