Manager’s thoughts –

Bristol Rovers manager Darrell Clarke said: “We are delighted to have agreed a deal bring Alex to the club for the season.”

“Alex has got past EFL experience and enjoyed a successful loan spell in Scotland last season.”

“He will add to our competition in the attacking positions and we hope to be able to bring the best out of his game during his spell with us.”

About Alex Jakubiak –

He put pen to paper on his first professional contract with the Watford in 2014, after finishing as top scorer for the club’s Under-18s and featuring in the Under-21 Premier League Cup campaign during the 2013/14 season, with 23 goals.

Watford gave an opportunity of EFL experience for the striker as he had loan spell at the Kassam Stadium during the 2014/15 season. He appeared 10 times for Oxford United, before a longer loan spell at Dagenham and Redbridge followed.

He then joined Fleetwood and then Wycombe during the course of the 2016/17 season.

In January 2018, Jakubiak joined Falkirk on loan, where he scored seven times, which included a run of five goals in four games in the month of February.
