According to talkSPORT, Nottingham Forest could be set to lose one of their star players, Henri Lansbury, as Burnley prepare a bid for him.

Clarets boss, Sean Dyche, has identified Lansbury as a potential target as Burnley look to prepare for life back in the Premier League.

Lansbury spent an agonising three months on the sidelines last season after suffering a fracture in his lower back, however,  before his injury, he was an essential part in Nottingham Forest’s plans and is now back to full fitness; looking to make a return.

Burnley might not have it all their way though. TalkSPORT are also reporting that Uwe Rosler’s Wigan are looking to sign the 23 year old, in an attempt to bolster his squad and push for promotion in the up-coming 2014/15 season.

Since joining Forest in 2012, Lansbury has made 61 appearances for the club, scoring 12 goals along the way, but it looks like boss Stuart Pearce will unable to keep hold of the talented youngster.

  1. Wigan ? Burnley? Oh come on two northern clubs over 200 miles away from his native London , Wigan in the same division as Forest with no fans , no history and no footballing pedigree . Burnley who are in the premier league for this season ,will not maintain that with their small crowds and tatty ground , I expect them to be relegated by March with Danny Ings away on his toes to a decent club

  2. Forest are a league lower but as darren said Forest are a bigger club with more promise and financial backing .The fan base is a lot larger as well as scooped in history

  3. The big question that Nottingham Forest needs to ask itself is weather they are prepared to move into a stadium that can seat 45k plus an option to increase to 70k….That question needs to be asked.Despite relegation Cardiff City have completed a third tier .Forest need to ask themselves what is the aim and how best to reach it…

This is utter rubbish, lazy journalism. Lansbury is settled at Forest and it is well known he would only leave for a London prem team, forgive me,but i don't think Wigan or Burnley fit that criteria. Cone on!!!! Do some research first!

  5. lol, we cant attract attendences like that, its pie in the sky.. 35k max. Tho we do have the best away support by a mile 😉

  6. I seriously doubt they can afford him to be honest, it would take at least 6 million even if we wanted to let him go, which we don't.
