Aston Villa set to miss out on Chelsea striker Tammy Abraham as Chelsea want to keep hold of the young striker.
Alan Nixon tweeted: “CHELSEA. Lots in for Tammy Abraham on loan. But still planning to keep him on. Nobody can agree a loan deal for Drinkwater loan just yet. Too pricey.”
Tammy Abraham signed Bristol City on a season-long loan for the 2016/17 season. By the end of the season he had scored 26 goals in 48 appearances for his loan club who successfully fought against relegation. He ended the campaign by picking up the Bristol City Player of the Year and Young Player of the Year awards.
He spent 2017/17 on loan at Swansea City. The striker finished the season with eight goals in 39 appearances in all competitions for Swansea City, who were relegated to the Championship.
Tammy Abraham said about his future: “For me, hopefully it’s at Chelsea”
“I would like to remain in the first team, do the best I can and get a couple of goals to my name as well and see where it goes from there. Hopefully I can lift a trophy at the end of the season.”
“My main focus right now is staying at Chelsea and obviously I’m here right now and playing and I couldn’t really ask for more. We are a team at Chelsea, there is obviously going to be massive competition, it’s never going to be easy and for me, as a young guy.”
“I’ve always wanted to make my way into the Chelsea team and fight my way to the top. A team like Chelsea, one of the best teams in the world, obviously are going to have great strikers as well, besides myself, so it’s all about hard work in training.”
