5 Things we learned from Crawley v Brighton (Pre-Season)

5) The reason behind Crawley’s lack of spending

Finally, last night I among others came to the conclusion on just why Crawley Town don’t have that much money to spend on players: The loss of footballs during play. I believe we counted 8 footballs that left the stadium completely within 70 minutes. This on as an estimate must add up to around 300 footballs or more in a season, now a days these pieces of branded leather don’t come cheap!

Best of luck to John Gregory and Crawley in the 2014/15 season, they have made some promising signings and hopefully can push towards a top half finish or maybe even more this season.

Brighton now travel to Peterborough Saturday and host Southampton on the 31st in their last pre-season fixture before kicking off The Championship campaign at home to Sheffield Wednesday on August 9th.
