Shrewsbury Town are set to replace Aristote Nsiala with Lincoln City’s captain Luke Waterfall, according to journalist Pete O’Rourke.

Shrewsbury Town are set to replace Aristote Nsiala, who looks set to sign for Ipswich Town, with Lincoln City’s captain Luke Waterfall.

Luke Waterfall signed for  Wrexham on 15 January 2015 on a one-and-a-half-year contract, but he only half a season with Wrexham before signing for their National League rivals Lincoln City on 2 June 2015 on a two-year contract. He made 55 appearances and scored seven goals in 2016–17 as Lincoln were promoted to League Two as National League champions.

Shrewsbury chief executive Brian Caldwell expects Toto Nsiala and Jon Nolan to be Ipswich players in 48 hours after the Blues met his club’s valuation of the duo.

This summer, Shrewsbury have signed Peterborough midfielder Anthony Grant for an undisclosed fee on a one-year deal. The 31-year-old made 48 appearances for Peterborough last season.

Shrewsbury Town have also signed Huddersfield Town goalkeeper Joel Coleman on a season-long loan deal as well as Chelsea midfielder Charlie Colkett on a season-long loan.

Shrewsbury Town have signed striker Aaron Amadi-Holloway from relegated Oldham Athletic for an undisclosed fee and signed midfielder Josh Laurent from Wigan Athletic for an undisclosed fee.

Shrewsbury Town have signed former Newcastle United winger Alex Gilliead on a free transfer.
