Jamal Blackman finally makes Leeds debut – Side already 3-0 down at Oxford United

There are a lot of questions at Leeds United at the moment. Questions and more questions and very little in the way of answers. Leeds went in at half-time 3-0 down to Oxford United, a young side battered in the first-half with Will Huffer starting in goal over Blackman, but why?

Lewis Baker had a quick chat with LUTV before the game tonight, and yes the link did last the entire minute and a bit without failing. He didn’t seem delighted to be in this team tonight, and reading between the lines he probably isn’t, why isn’t a new signing playing with the first-team rather than the under 23’s?

Jamal Blackman could have played in every game, but has come on at half-time tonight to make his debut. Phil Hay said on the Monday he was announced as a Leeds player that he was expected to be involved at Forest Green. He didn’t make the bench, or against York City and then the same at Southend United on Sunday afternoon.

Andrea Radrizzani is at the game tonight and he must surely now see that the depth is very poor. Marcelo Bielsa might be a great tactician and a highly rated coach but he isn’t a miracle worker and he needs new players. This is a huge worry and even worse is the fact the season starts a week Sunday, let that sink in. In less than two weeks time we will be facing Stoke City, a club who have recently signed Tom Ince, James MacLean and Benik Afobe.

Things have to change, quickly.
