West Brom want cut price deal for Sheffield United’s Simon Moore

West Brom have been a busy team so far this transfer window, but with more departures than deals, the pressure is beginning to mount on Darren Moore.

The Baggies have seen crucial players such as Claudio Yacob, Gareth McAuley and Ben Foster leave the Hawthorns already this summer, as well as Jonny Evans who left for Leicester City at a cut-price of just £3m.

The Midlanders have been linked with copious amounts of players so far and received a huge boost of confidence with the signing of Kyle Bartley this week, much to the dismay of Leeds fans.

Following Foster’s move to Watford and the release of Boaz Myhill, the club has been forced to make considerable changes in the goalkeeping department, having signed two ‘keepers already.

According to HITC, there is soon to be a third shot stopper headed to the Hawthorns, with Sheffield United’s Simon Moore heavily linked. The 28-year-old joined Bramall Lane in 2016 for £500,000, but West Brom are looking to pay even less for the former Cardiff City and Brentford man.

Moore’s future in Yorkshire recently became even more unstable, with United the club taking former Manchester United ‘keeper Luke Steele on trial.

Jamal Blackman enjoyed most of the first team opportunities last season The Blades now have Manchester United and England u21 Dean Henderson as their number one thi season. The future of Moore looks straightforward, having had his career put on the back-burner last season, he seems all but destined for the exit door this window.
