Hull City transfer target Mbaye Diagne has recently followed the club’s official Instagram account.
The 26-year-old striker has emerged as a target for the Tigers and currently plays in the Turkish Super Lig for Kasimpasa.
Diagne is a real handful in the Turkish top flight. He started his career in Italy with spells at Brandizzo and Bra and was snapped up by Juventus in July 2013. However, he did not make a senior appearances for the European giants but did enjoy loan spells at Ajaccio, Lierse, Al-Shabab and Westerlo during his two years in Turin.
He has since had stints in Hungary with Újpest and then China with Tianjin TEDA before signing for Kasimpasa in January. Diagne is a well-travelled striker and could be on the move again this summer with Hull City showing an interest.
The Tigers have been busy in recent weeks as they look to bolster their squad ahead of next season in the Championship. They have so far signed Eric Lichaj, Reece Burke, Jordy de Wijs and David Milinkovic from Nottingham Forest, West Ham United, PSV Eindhoven and Genoa respectively.
Their manager, Nigel Adkins, is hoping the club can tie up deals for Sheffield United goalkeeper George Long, Chelsea right-back Todd Kane and Sturm Graz youngster Phillip Sittsam in the next 24 hours. Scunthorpe United’s Conor Townsend is also a move that Adkins is keen on but it is not as advanced as the other three transfers.
Hull do need a striker as well and if Diagne recently following the club on Instagram is no coincidence, he could be on his way to the KCOM Stadium.
