West Bromwich Albion have completed the signing of Kyle Bartley from Swansea City.
The Baggies have been looking to bolster their defence ahead of next season in the Championship and their manager, Darren Moore, has delved into the transfer market to find their man in Bartley.
The 27-year-old centre-back had fallen down the pecking order with Swansea and played just 5 games for them in the Premier League last season. He was therefore keen on a move away from the Liberty Stadium this summer.
Bartley started his career with Bolton Wanderers before he was snapped up by Arsenal in 2007. He went onto play once for the Gunners in the Champions League against Olympiakos. However, he gained plenty of first-team experience out on loan.
The 6ft 4inc defender spent time on loan at Sheffield United and Rangers before he was signed by Swansea in 2012. He found to establish himself in the Swans’ first-team in the top flight so was sent out on loan to Birmingham City and Leeds United.
Bartley impressed on loan at Leeds in the 2016/17 season and their fans have been wanting their club to bring him back to Elland Road. However, it is the Baggies who have won the race for him.
Here is how the West Brom fans have reacted on Twitter to the signing of Swansea City defender Kyle Bartley-

Seems to be quality over quantity at West Brom this summer. Kyle Bartley is a top signing for the Baggies. Fancy them to be well in the top six mixer come May next year. #WBA
