The transfer window is open and the new season is just around the corner. Transfers are vital and more often than not are the difference between relegation and survival. Who are the favourites for relegation to the Vanarama Conference.

The outright favourites for relegation from League Two are Morecambe with current odds of 5/2 with the bookies. Morecambe survived on the final day last season. They survived on goal difference at the cost of Barnet FC. Just four goals separated the two sides so it’s clear why Morecombe are expected to go down. Morecombe have been flirting with relegation for several seasons now. Could it finally be time for them to drop down to non-league level?

The second favourites are to be relegated are Yeovil Town. After they reached the Championship back in 2013 Yeovil Town suffered back to back relegations and now find themselves struggling in League Two year in year out. Once again they look to be in for a tough season. The bookies agree too placing them as second favourites to face the dreaded drop out of the professional football pyramid.

Finally, the third favourites to be relegated come May are Macclesfield Town at 4/1. These are quite long odds for a third favourite so it’s very clear that both Yeovil Town and Morecombe are both massively fancied to be the ones to drop out of the Football League. Macclesfield Town won promotion last season which explains why they have been given quite short odds in the grand scheme of things.
