With Jordan Rhodes signing for Norwich City from Sheffield Wednesday the door has opened for striker Nelson Oliveira to find a new club. Here are three clubs that should sign Nelson Oliveira.
Nottingham Forest
Nottingham Forest have gone all out this transfer window and have already signed nine new players, spending over £24m. Having just signed a much needed striker in Lewis Grabban, Forest could be looking for a partner for him.
Nelson Oliveira spent a season on loan at Nottingham Forest a couple of years back. He made 29 appearances, scoring nine goals and picking up a single assist. Having played at the City Ground he’d be familiar will his surroundings and the fans so he could fit in perfectly.
Leeds United
Leeds United have been searching for a new striker all summer but have, so far, failed in doing so. They’ve been heavily linked with players such as Abel Hernandez and Matej Vydra but both players have seemed to turn down the chance to play at Elland Road.
Having lost Chris Wood to Burnley last summer they’ve been massively struggling for goals. They were a goal scorer short of a play-off push last season and now there’s one free that they have a good chance of being able to sign. Oliveira made a solid start to his Norwich City career but has since lost his way. A fresh start at new club where he would be the main man could just be what he needs to get his career going again.
