It looks like it’s going to be another frustrating week in the transfer window for Leeds United. No deals since Lewis Baker and none since, but it seems like a move for Jamal Blackman is close.

Leeds have been chasing Blackman for a couple of weeks and the situation isn’t being helped by Chelsea situation. The club are currently in the process of changing manager, Antonio Conte on his way out and that means a long process and the likes of Jamal Blackman aren’t the priority, therefore a waiting game has commenced, and with the current speed of Leeds’ business it doesn’t look great.

Blackman was pictured at Elland Road and then Thorp Arch but nothing seemed concrete. In fact there was no confirmation Leeds were interested but adding the basic sums up gave you the answer needed. It now seems Leeds are trying to push the deal through, a deal that is certain to be a loan for the full season. Many Leeds fans are asking, what now for Baily Peacock-Farrell?

The window has been a frustrating time for the club and for the fans, the fans probably more. The anticipation of Marcelo Bielsa and what he would bring was sky-high, season tickets rocketed but the business hasn’t followed. Bielsa wasn’t expected to attract players, players such as Matej Vydra and Abel Hernandez but wage demands seem to have put that to the sword. Blackman would be a good addition but it’s a case of getting deals done, fast and more than one or two.

Leeds face League Two outfit Forest Green Rovers in their first pre-season game on Tuesday and as it stands only 14/15 players are training with the first-team, one keeper, two centre-backs and one recognised first-team striker.
