Aston Villa target new signings- Three potential cut-price deals….

Aston Villa are in need of some new signings but have been hit hard with financial restrictions after failing to gain promotion to the Premier League last season. Here are three players they should sign on cut-price deals-

Nedum Onuoha- The experienced 31-year-old defender is available on a free transfer after leaving Championship side QPR at the end of the season. Although this would not be one of the most exciting signings for Aston Villa, it would be a sensible one to fill the gap left by John Terry’s departure and to strengthen their defence. With finances tight, bringing in a free agent like Onuoha would be a shrewd bit of business by Steve Bruce.

David McGoldrick- Like Onouha, McGoldrick is a free agent after leaving Ipswich Town at the expiry of his contract there in June. Villa have been linked with him along with fellow Championship sides Bristol City and West Bromwich Albion. McGoldrick is an experienced striker at this level and is another cheap option who Villa could explore. He would offer them another option going forward and a plan B for Steve Bruce next season.

Axel Tuanzebe- The Manchester United youngster spent last season on loan with Villa and is already well-known at Villa Park. He would be a decent loan signing again for the next campaign as he would bolster their defence. Tuanzebe is a promising young talent and needs more first-team experience, meaning United are likely to sanction another loan deal for him. Young and hungry players are ideal for Villa now, as well as the experience players like Onuoha and McGoldrick would bring.
