Blackburn Rovers interested in 12-goal League One striker

According to reliable Journalist Alan Nixon, Blackburn Rovers are showing an interest in 12-goal League One striker Ellis Harrison.

Rovers are preparing themselves for their first season back in the Championship after winning promotion from League One last season and are currently looking to reinforce their squad ahead of the new season.

It’s thought that the Championship side are looking to bring in several players and Harrison seems to have caught the eye after he had a fairly impressive season up-front for Bristol Rovers.

The striker shouldn’t cost an absolute fortune if the Championship club were to move for a transfer deal that would bring the forward to Ewood Park and Nixon went on to tweet saying that Bristol Rovers may be prepared to sell, dependent on the price that Blackburn Rovers would offer the striker.

Harrison is only 24-years-old and has spent the whole of his career with Bristol Rovers, apart from a quick loan spell at Hartlepool United.

The striker has scored 45 goals in 171 career games and if he was to move to Blackburn Rovers, it would be the strikers first time in his career playing Championship football.

We’ll see if the Championship side come in to make a move for the forward but he would be a good addition to a squad preparing for life in a new division next season and he would offer squad depth and another option up-front for Tony Mowbray’s team, it just depends as to whether the club will put in an offer for the forward that the League One side are prepared to take.
