Five things to know about Bristol City target Jack Hunt

Sheffield Wednesday defender Jack Hunt is set to join Bristol City, as reported by The72 yesterday. Here are five things to know about him-

Started out at Huddersfield Town- Hunt joined the Terriers at the age of 9 and rose through the youth ranks at the Yorkshire side. He went onto play 121 games for them and helped them gain promotion to the Championship in 2012. He also had loan spells at Grays Athletic and Chesterfield as a youngster.

Signed by Crystal Palace- Hunt made the move to the Premier League in 2013 when Palace snapped him up  for £2 million. However, he broke his ankle early on in his Eagles career and never played a game for them.

Loan spells- After returning from his injury, Palace loaned Hunt out to Barnsley in the Championship or remainder of the 2013/14 season to regain his fitness and get minutes under his belt. He then had loan spells at Nottingham Forest and Rotherham United in the 2014/15 campaign.

Sheffield Wednesday- Hunt joined the Owls on loan for the 2015/16 season in a move that was made permanent in January 2016. He helped them get to the Play-Off final in his first season at the club but they lost to Hull City. Hunt was then part of the Sheffield Wednesday side who lost to his former club Huddersfield in the Play-Offs in 2017.

Experienced- Hunt has played 290 games in his career to date and all of these appearances have come in the Football League. The 27-year-old is an established Championship right-back and will be a useful signing for Bristol City, if they get it over the line.
