Archibald, Forest Green sign Brentford winger on loan

Forest Green sign Brentford winger on loan

Forest Green Rovers have signed Brentford’s Theo Archibald on loan until the end of the season as confirmed by the club website.

Forest Green can say they achieved their aims last season as they just managed to avoid being relegated back to the Vanarama National in their first ever season in the EFL. But the club do not want to repeat that next season and want to push up the table and make sure they have no fear of being relegated. And today they have made a signing they will hope will improve their sign.

Exciting youngster Archibald has joined the club on loan until the end of the season. He came through the Celtic academy before signing for Brentford last season to play in their B side. And in order to gain more first team experience the 20-year-old winger has signed for Forest Green where he’ll hope to terrorise defences in Sky Bet League Two.

After completing his move, Archibald said: “It all came about very quickly.”

“I think I had it in my head earlier in the summer that chances at Brentford would be the same as what they were last season, maybe being on the bench sometimes.”

“At my age, I’m 20, I think it is important for me to keep playing men’s football regularly.”

“It was something that interested me a lot when I heard that the interest from Forest Green Rovers was there.”

“Today was the first training session and it was very enjoyable and I’m happy to be here.”
