Hull City want to sign Scunthorpe United duo Conor Townsend and Hakeeb Adelakun, according to the Daily Mail.
The Tigers boss, Nigel Adkins, is hoping to get some deals done before his squad head off to Portugal on Sunday for pre-season and wants to raid his former club.
Hull want to re-sign left-back Conor Townsend, who left in January 2016 to join Scunthorpe for more first-team opportunities. He has impressed over the past couple of seasons at Glanford Park and could be rewarded with a move back to the Championship.
Townsend was born in Hull and joined them at the age of 8. He rose through the youth ranks at the KCOM Stadium but only made one appearance for the first-team. Instead, he gained playing experience during loan spells at Grimsby Town, Chesterfield, Carlisle United, Dundee United and Scunthorpe.
The Tigers are also keen on making contact with Scunthorpe winger Hakeeb Adelakun. The 22-year-old is out-of-contract and is a man in demand after an impressive campaign with the Iron last season. He has played 160 games for them since joining them as a youngster in 2012, having previously been at Crystal Palace and West Ham United.
Hull fans are getting frustrated with the lack of transfer activity as they have only signed Eric Lichaj from Nottingham Forest so far this summer. However, a double deal for Townsend and Adelakun would be decent business and ease some early fears about what next season has in store for the Tigers in the Championship.
