Peterborough eyeing up Championship playmaker – Marcus Maddison replacement?

Peterborough United chairman Darragh MacAnthony last night admitted they have an interest in Nottingham Forest’s Jorge Grant.

Peterborough have confirmed their interest in Nottingham Forest’s Jorge Grant, maybe he could be used as a part of a deal for Jack Marriott.

Nottingham Forest are keen on signing a proven goalscorer this summer, with Marriott creating a lot of interest from many Championship club after netting 33 goals last season.

This has sparked rumours of Jorge Grant heading to Peterborough.

Jorge Grant spent last season on loan at Nottingham Forest rivals Notts County, where he made 45 league appearances and scored 15 goals whilst providing six assists for the Magpies as they finished in the League Two play-off places.

Jorge Grant is a product of the Nottingham Forest academy and signed a new three-year deal with the club in June 2017.

Grant made his competitive debut in the League Cup first-round win at Tranmere Rovers in August 2014, before going on to put Nottingham Forest ahead in the League Cup third round against Tottenham Hotspur at White Hart Lane.

It looks like Marcus Maddison could be leaving Peterborough this summer with a host of clubs chasing for his signature, according to the Daily Mail.

Sunderland are believed to be interested in signing Peterborough playmaker Marcus Maddison.

Reading have also shown an interest in the 24-year-old attacker, but Sunderland have now entered the race for Maddison.

Maddison netted 12 goals last season and has a reputation as one of League One’s most exciting player, it will be a massive loss if Peterborough was to lose him.
