Leicester City confirmed the signing of Norwich City superstar James Madison today for a record fee received by a Championship club. The Canaries fans are understanbly sad to see their main man leave, but were full of praise for the 21 year old.

Maddison joined the club in 2016 during the January transfer window, but the Yellows immediately loaned him back out to his boyhood club Coventry City, following his £3m move.

In his first full season at Carrow Road, the attacking midfielder found himself on loan at Aberdeen, where he began to make a name for himself at Pittodrie.

He made his debut for Norwich on the final day of the 16/17 season, where he scored in a 3-1 win over Preston at Deepdale.

He impressed Norwich boss Daniel Farke during pre season last summer and the German boss had no hesitation in throwing him in to the first team.

He made 41 appearances for Norwich last season, where he scored 15 goals from midfield and recorded 11 assists.

His direct play and attacking flair are key aspects to his game and if he can continue that with Leicester he will become a star in the top flight.

Speculation surrounding his future has been rife this summer, with multiple Premier League clubs chasing his signature.

However, it is Leicester who have won the race to sign the former Coventry man, with location being a key reason as to why he put pen to paper on a 5 year deal at the King Power Stadium.

He became a big fan favourite during his time in Norfolk, and here is what the Norwich faithful had to say about his departure:
