Marcelo Bielsa’s Leeds United could be set to complete a double deal in the coming days with two defenders linked with a move to agree deals with the club.
The Yorkshire Evening Post have reported that Marcelo Bielsa is interested in signing defender Jon Aurtenetxe who played for him at Athletic Bilbao and Yorkshire Post journalist Phil Hay has tweeted to suggest that the Whites have a new deal ‘in the pipeline’ for their Irish centre-back Paudie O’Connor.
one is in the pipeline but needs more discussion

The West-Yorkshire side are currently in the process of preparing for life with Marcelo Bielsa as their Head Coach for next season and it appears at the minute, the Argentinian is preparing Leeds United’s squads to fit his needs and desires for the forthcoming campaign – even if that means getting rid of some of the existing furniture around Elland Road.
It’s likely that O’Connor is to continue to develop at Elland Road and won’t necessarily be a sure fire starter fr the West-Yorkshire club, however if Aurtenetxe is to move to Elland Road, he’ll most likely slot into Leeds United’s starting XI.
The Spanish defender has made appearances for Spain’s Under-21’s and would know what to expect under ‘El Loco’, given the fact he has been managed by the Argentinian earlier in his career and even has Europa League experience with Athletic Bilbao, featuring as a 17-year-old for the full 90 minutes once in a game against SV Werder Bremen. Aurtenetxe is currently a free agent, so if Leeds United want to bring him to Elland Road, it shouldn’t take too much for a deal to go through.
