Five more Benfica players Nottingham Forest could sign

Nottingham Forest have signed Benfica duo Diogo Goncalves and Joao Carvalho. Here are five other players from the Portuguese giants they could potentially sign as well-

João Amaral- The Portuguese striker only joined Benfica last month from Vitoria but they are keen to loan him out for next season. He has been the subject of interest from Sheffield Wednesday but Forest could be keen as well. He bagged 14 goals in the Primeira Liga last season.

Jhon Murillo- He has never made a senior appearance for Benfica and has spent the last two seasons out on loan at Primeira Liga side Tondela and Turkish outfit Kasımpaşa. The Venezuelen international could leave Benfica again this summer and is an option for Forest.

Patrick Viera- The 27-year-old centre-back impressed for Marítimo in the Portuguese top flight and earned a move to Benfica in 2017. However, like Murillo, has never played for them. He spent last season on loan at Vitoria and Forest could swoop for him this summer to boost their defensive options.

Erdal Rakip- The promising Swedish midfielder joined Benfica in January from Malmo and was loaned out to Crystal Palace for the rest of the season. He did not play for the Eagles but could be given another chance out on loan in the next campaign and is another option for Forest.

Bruno Varela- He is used as a back-up goalkeeper by Benfica and is another who could potentially leave them on loan next season. The 23-year-old is a promising shot stopper and would be a shrewd loan signing by Aitor Karanka.
