Five players that Stoke City should sign this summer

Following Stoke’s relegation from the Premiership they will be looking to bounce straight back. Here are five players that they should sign to help them earn promotion –

Jack Marriott, Peterborough United – The Peterborough frontman deserves a chance to prove himself in the Championship following his outstanding season for The Posh. Last season, Marriott made 44 league appearances for Peterborough and impressively scoring 27 goals. But it would be an expensive move from Stoke. It looks likely that Marriott will have plenty of options from multiple championship clubs who tried to sign him in January, he is certainly one to keep your eye out for.

Dean Henderson, Manchester United – The young Manchester United youngster has certainly caught the eye in his massive success at Shrewsbury Town last season. The 21-year-old shot-stopper has been regarded by many as the best goalkeeper in League One last season. Henderson’s quality hasn’t gone unnoticed either. A vast array of clubs have hinted at acquiring the young goalkeeper, who deserves a chance to prove himself at Championship level, he would be a perfect fit for Stoke, who may need to loan Henderson as he looks to sign a new deal at Manchester United.

Callum Hudson-Odoi, Chelsea – During the recent FIFA Under-17 World Cup, Hudson-Odoi scored England’s first goal of the tournament against Chile, and was an integral part in their eventual triumph, playing in every game. The young midfielder particularly starred in the final, assisting three goals to help England come from two goals down to beat Spain 5-2. Known for going on mazy runs through midfield, the 17-year-old has a high ceiling and at such a young age, has plenty of time to make the breakthrough into senior football.
