West Brom in ‘advanced negotiations’ with Bristol City forward

According to the Birmingham Mail, West Brom could be set to make Bristol City’s Bobby Reid their first signing of the summer and a deal could be signed, sealed and sorted by the end of this week should negotiations continue to be successful.

Supposedly, a transfer fee between Bristol City and West Brom is set to be ‘close’ and a deal could be soon agreed between the two Championship clubs for the upcoming season.

Baggies boss Darren Moore will be keen to bring the striker in as it looks as if Salomón Rondon could be on his way out of the Hawthorns with interest thought to be coming from several Premier League clubs.

Reid however would be an excellent acquisition for the Baggies, with the Bristol City frontman scoring 19 goals in 46 games for the Robins in the Championship last season. The 25-year-old is looking to improve as a forward and a chance to play as the main man up-front in a promotion chasing West Brom side could really bring the best in the young striker.

Reid has enjoyed a fantastic season and with him being a key part in the clubs cup success this season, he’s got a taste for playing against Premier League opposition and will want to do so in the near future on a regular basis. With Darren Moore looking to take West Brom back into the big-time on the first attempt, Reid could be a great signing and could be incredibly important in helping West Brom win promotion this season.
