Shrewsbury Town have announced the signings of Kieran Kennedy from Macclesfield Town and Fejiri Okenabirhie from Dagenham & Redbridge.
Kieran Kennedy joins Shrewsbury Town for an undisclosed fee from Macclesfield Town and is John Askey’s first signing as the Salop boss.
Kennedy was delighted with the move and is looking forward to getting started at his new club.
“I’m delighted to be here,” said Kennedy.
“I spoke to the gaffer last week and I was really looking forward to the chance to sign.
“We did well last year in the conference, we didn’t expect to go up but we did really well and the gaffer was a big part in that so I’m delighted.
“The gaffer had a big part in my decision to come here. I spoke to him quite a lot over the summer to see what’s happening.
“I love the way he plays football. I think that helps me with my game and he was definitely a big part in it.
“This is probably the biggest move I have had because it’s first team football and I can’t wait to get started.”
Fejiri Okenabirhie joins Shrewsbury Town on a two-year deal for an undisclosed fee from Dagenham & Redbridge.
Fejiri is grateful to make the permanent move to Shrewsbury and hopes to make an impact.
“I’m delighted to have signed and I’m looking forward to next season,” said Fejiri.
“I’m grateful for the opportunity and I can’t wait to start.
“I’ve had a good two years at Dagenham and I’ve really enjoyed my time there.
“I think it’s the right time to step up and Shrewsbury is the right club to do it.”
Fejiri notched 12 goals for Dagenham & Redbridge last season
