Middlesbrough extend shirt sponsor deal

Middlesbrough have confirmed they have extended their sponsorship deal with Ramsdens Currency for a further two years, via their official website.

Ramsdens will sponsor Middlesbrough for the tenth consecutive season, after taking over from Garmin Sat Nav.

“Ramsdens are very proud to have been sponsors of our hometown football club since 2010″ said Ramsdens CEO Peter Kenyon.

“We are very aware that the Ramsdens name appearing on the shirt has been great for customer recognition and has helped our business grow over recent years.”

However, there has been a slight change to the deal, with the sponsor switching from the front of the shirt to the back. This may mean Middlesbrough may be actively looking for a new shirt sponsor to appear on the front, or may have something in the pipeline.

“We are staying involved by being the back of shirt sponsor next season and look forward to continuing our work with the club in supporting the local community.”

Middlesbrough’s shirt for next season is yet to be released. Although, it is expected to be announced this month.

In April, Middlesbrough confirmed Hummel will be the kit manufacturer for the 2018/19 season, and had signed a five-year deal with the company. The kit will be a throwback to the club’s 1986/87 season which saw the club get promoted to the Premier League.

Ramsdens Currency will be hoping for something similar this time next year.

“Unfortunately the Boro did not make it to the Premier League this year but hopefully it will next season”, Kenyon said.
