According to Leeds Live, thought that Leeds United and Aston Villa are about to be handed a huge transfer boost by Wolves in their pursuit of Hull City Abel Hernandez.
Both Leeds United and Aston Villa are reportedly keen on bringing Abel Hernandez to their attacking ranks in this transfer window – but Wolves were apparently providing stiff opposition for the strikers signature. TuttoMercatoWeb reported that the striker was set to be given a chance by the Premier League club who were reportedly set to put a deal on the table.
News has emerged today that Wolves look set to secure the signing of Benik Afobe from Bournemouth on a permanent £12.5m deal from Sky Sports – which completely transforms the situation around Hernandez. With Afobe set to swap the South Coast for the Midlands, Wolves may not need to bring Uruguayan Herenandez to Molineux anymore.
This opens an opportunity up for Leeds and Aston Villa but its also been reported by journalist Tom Heslop that around nine clubs including Villa’s rivals Birmingham City are thought to be tracking the striker and vying for his signature, making him a huge man in demand.
I’m told that #bcfc are interested in signing #hcfc striker Abel Hernandez.
The forward is available on a free but has been offered a new contract by the tigers.
There are another 8 clubs interested in him, including #avfc

A striker is thought to be top of Leeds’ list with the Whites struggling to score many goals last season and its thought that Hernandez would be able to provide goals and bring an exciting brand of attacking football to Elland Road, if he was to sign with the West-Yorkshire club.
