Aston Villa wide man Robert Snodgrass believes the fear of failing is motivating the Midlanders ahead of their Playoff final showdown with Fulham.
Villa have spent two seasons in the Championship after suffering relegation from the Premier League in 2016.
After a disappointing last season, Steve Bruce has turned the ship around at Villa Park and his side are now just one game away from the first tier.
The experience of Snodgrass will surely prove crucial come kick off on Saturday.
“I know some of the other lads have experienced it as well. That’s beauty of the play-offs, it’s the fear of losing that drives you forwards.” He said.
“None of the lads want to lose. Everybody wants to be on the good end, the club have worked tirelessly behind the scenes to get the club back there. It’s very rare you get a second chance to get to your final destination.
“We fell short in the automatic places, we know now there’s no room for error. It’s the Championship though isn’t it? Everybody loves watching the Championship.”
Villa finished fourth in the table, behind Fulham, and the Scottish international has been impressed with Slavisa Jokanovic’s side this term.
“We have to beat Fulham who have been one of the best teams in the division.
“We know it’s going to be hard, but if you want results, you’ve got to beat the best.”
Snodgrass could be key for the Midland club during the Playoff final, and they will be playing with no fear as they attempt to return to the Premier League at the second time of asking.
