Top 50 Players of the EFL – 14th: Jack Grealish (Aston Villa)

Aston Villa midfielder Jack Grealish has been voted by you as the 14th best player in the EFL.

Over the last month, we have been gathering votes from you to find the best managers and players in the EFL. And after counting the votes, we have discovered you think that Grealish is the 14th best player in the Football League. This is the first time he has been on the Top 50 Players countdown.

Aston Villa were greatly aided by having some great attacking midfielders on their side. Robert Snodgrass was great, and got 22nd on the list, and then Albert Adomah’s performances earned him 18th place. But while they got very good places on the countdown, it is Grealish who has finished highest out of this deadly trio as he was voted into 14th place.

Grealish has always been highly regarded with some of the best teams in the Premier League being interested in him in the last few years. And at times that difference in class between him and the opposition was just too apparent. This season in the 30 appearances he made for the club, he scored three goals and was also able to contribute with six assists. Towards the end of the season Grealish started to hit top form with great performances against the likes of Middlesbrough, Leeds United and fierce rivals Birmingham City.

The season is not over for Grealish yet as he will be hoping to beat Fulham in the Sky Bet Championship play-off final on bank holiday weekend.
