Allan McGregor has joined Rangers on a two-year deal on a free transfer from Hull City.
The Scotland international’s contract at the Tigers was due to expire next month and despite being offered a new deal to stay at the KCOM Stadium, he has decided to move back to Rangers.
McGregor started his career at Rangers and played over 200 games for the Glasgow giants. He left Ibrox in 2012 to join Besiktas. However, he spent a season in Turkey before signing for Hull City in 2013.
The 36-year-old has spent five years at Hull and has played for them in an FA Cup final and in Europe. He spent part of the 2016/17 season on loan at Cardiff City but made the number one spot at the Tigers his own in the Championship this season.
He is one of many Hull players who could leave them this summer on a free transfer. Players such as David Meyler, Abel Hernandez, Michael Dawson and Moses Odubajo could now follow McGregor out of the exit door on free transfers as well.

Sad to see McGregor go but in reality he's getting on and always had a howler in him. Not surprised the club didn't want to give him 2 years. #hcafc

Wouldn't be surprised to see Harry Wilson follow McGregor to Rangers as well (on loan at least) with the Gerrard/Liverpool link. #hcafc
