Earlier today, Peterborough United confirmed the signing of goalkeeper Aaron Chapman, who joins the club from recently crowned Sky Bet League Two champions Accrington Stanley.
Posh chairman Darragh MacAnthony took to Twitter this afternoon to confirm the deal, with the Accrington keeper joining on a two year deal.
Delighted to announce the @SkyBetLeagueTwo Golden Gloves winner & League title winner Aaron Chapman joins @theposhofficial on July 1st on a 2 year contract.

Chapman’s performances this season in the fourth tier helped Accrington defy all odds and achieve promotion to Sky Bet League One, where they will of course face Peterborough United next year.
His 18 clean sheets were the highest in the league, earning him the golden glove award for the division.
Posh’s first choice goalkeeper for the majority of last season was Jonathon Bond, but he has since returned to his parent club Reading following his loan spell, leaving Conor O’Malley as the only first team keeper on the books.
It seems that Peterborough United have got themselves another gem of a player in the form of Aaron Chapman. Here’s a look at how the Posh fans reacted on Twitter:
This Posh fan described the signing as a brilliant start to the summer.
What a great start to the Summer… Brilliant stuff! #pufc https://t.co/T12C7XWTmv

A lot of Posh fans are reserving their judgement until they see him play, but are optimistic that they have signed the best goalkeeper from Sky Bet League Two last season.

This Peterborough United supporter thinks that puts Conor O’Malley down to second choice at the ABAX Stadium again.
Must say that’s probably O’Malley done/second fiddle again now #pufc

He may be relatively unknown to a lot of Peterborough United fans, but they are all quite clearly pleased with his height.
Don't know much about our new GK but knowing he's 6ft 7 is a positive start
Like a tall goalkeeper #pufc
