Top 50 Players of the EFL – 32nd: Danny Hylton (Luton Town

Luton Town striker Danny Hylton has been voted by you as the 32nd best player in the EFL.

Over the last month, we have been gathering votes from you to find the best managers and players in the EFL. And after counting the votes, we have discovered you think that Hylton is the 32nd best player in the Football League. He has moved up five places from last year’s list where he finished 37th on the Top 50 Players Countdown.

Everyone knew that Hylton was a top player in Sky Bet League Two from his form last year so plenty were excited to see what he was going to be able to do this year. Luton seemed to be better, Hylton seemed to be better and there was a division ready for the taking. And despite being disappointed so many times when you get hyped up for a player like this, Hylton certainly delivered.

Luton showed their quality this season by finishing 2nd in League Two and a lot of that was down to how good Hylton was. In his 43 appearances for the club this season, he scored 23 goals and was one of the top scorers in the division. His performances were so good that you could forgive him for being sent off in the final game of the season against Notts County! But when you’ve terrorised the likes of Cambridge United, Yeovil Town and Stevenage, plenty can be forgiven.

Hylton will hope to continue this form in Sky Bet League One next season.
