An updated five candidates for the Barnsley job

Bobby Hassell, 4/1- He played for the Tykes for 10 years as a player and since retiring has taken up various positions at the club. The 37-year-old is a genuine candidate for the vacant role and is a popular man at Oakwell.

Mick McCarthy, 4/1- He was born in Barnsley and played for the Tykes as a player as well. He is available now and has had managerial spells at Millwall, Republic of Ireland, Sunderland, Wolves and Ipswich Town. McCarthy would be a shrewd appointment by Barnsley.
