Cardiff City are the bookies’ favourites to sign Watford striker Andre Gray, according to odds given out by Bet Victor.
The Bluebirds are currently at evens to take Gray to Wales following their promotion back to the Premier League.
Neil Warnock’s side’s 0-0 draw at home to Reading on the final day of the Sky Bet Championship season was enough to see them finish second, thanks to Fulham’s defeat at Birmingham City.
Cardiff are now preparing for life back in the top flight, and they are in the market for a proven goal scorer, and it seems that Andre Gray may be that man.
Gray signed for current club Watford last summer, joining for what was an undisclosed fee, but was believed to be in the region of £18 million.
He made the move from Burnley, who he had helped guide to promotion in 2016, before enjoying his debut season in the Premier League in 2016/17, when he scored 10 goals.
Since completing his move to Watford, Andre Gray has struggled to really make a name for himself. He has played 30 times for the Hornets in the Premier League this season, but the majority of them have been substitute appearances, and he has struggled to really lay down a claim for a spot in the Starting XI ahead of club captain Troy Deeney.
Watford are reported to be looking to cash in on last summer’s signing, and feel they can recoup a lot of what they paid for him last summer.
Brighton, Everton and West Ham are also said to be interested.
