Three relegated Premier League players Wolves could sign this summer

Wolverhampton Wanderers are still celebrating their Sky Bet Championship title win, but attention will soon turn to next season in the Premier League.

Nuno Santo’s side blitzed the second tier, picking up 99 points and deservedly earning their place in the top flight.

They have already been linked with a number of players as they aim to prepare their squad for the Premier League, but are there any players that play for the relegated clubs that they might look at?

We take a look at five potential relegated players that COULD arrive at Molineux this summer:
1) Jack Butland – Stoke City:

Wolves have been heavily linked with a move for Stoke City goalkeeper Jack Butland, and it could be the perfect move for both parties. Wolves are looking for a keeper with plenty of experience, and Jack Butland has that, and the shot stopper is looking to stay in the Premier League after Stoke’s relegation.

2) Alfie Mawson – Swansea City:

Yes, I know, Swansea are not officially relegated yet, but they certainly are on the cusp of being, and when they do inevitably go down, Alfie Mawson will be available. He has been linked with a number of Premier League clubs already, but Wolves may suit him more, as he is more likely to get game time, and stake a claim for a place in the England squad.

3) Salomon Rondon – West Bromwich Albion:

Wolves’ Midlands rivals West Brom have seemed destined for relegation for months now, but it was finally confirmed earlier this week following Southampton’s victory over Swansea City, and they have a number of players Wolves could be interested in. Salomon Rondon has failed to hit the levels expected of him when he joined the club, but he still knows where the back of the net is, and with the right supply, he could become a proven Premier League goal scorer.
