Fulham fans react to their Play-Off first-leg defeat to Derby County

Fulham suffered a 1-0 defeat to Derby County at the IPro Stadium last night in the Play-Off semi-final first-leg.

Cameron Jerome’s header in the first half for the Rams was enough to win them the game on the night and give them a narrow 1-0 lead going into the second-leg at Craven Cottage on Monday night.

Slavisa Jokanovic’s side came into the game on the back of a 3-1 defeat to Birmingham City last Sunday which resulted in them missing out on an automatic promotion place to Cardiff City. They were poor in the first-half but grew into to the game in the second-half and were unlucky not to get an equaliser.

Kevin McDonald hit the bar for the Cottagers in the second-half whilst Tom Cairney also went close with a curling strike that went just wide. They will be hoping that their key players like Cairney, Ryan Sessegnon and Stefan Johansen can perform on Monday.

This game is far from over and the next goal is the tie is crucial. It is poised to be a great contest in the second-leg with a place at the Play-Off final at stake.

Fulham will be devastated to lose out in the Play-Offs again. They lost to Reading last season and you would imagine of their players’ future at the club depend on whether they can get promotion to the Premier League.
