Sunderland- Meyler moved to England in 2008 to sign for Sunderland and they are an option for him now. The Black Cats have been taken over by new owners and are now looking for potential signings for their upcoming League One season. Their fans would be keen on bringing Meyler back to the Stadium of Light but it is unlikely that he would want to play in the third tier.

MLS- A move to America could be a possibility for Meyler. Clubs such as the Colorado Rapids, for example, have opted to sign players from the Championship like Joe Mason and Jack Price from Wolves as well as Tommy Smith from Ipswich Town. Also, Johnny Russell made the switch from Derby County to Sporting Kansas City whilst Hull City’s Adama Diomande has recently joined Los Angeles FC. Could Meyler be the next Championship player to make the move over the pond?
