“Pontefract Pirlo”- Hull City fans react to Daniel Batty’s Championship debut

Daniel Batty made his Championship debut for Hull City yesterday on their last game of the 2017/18 season.

The 20-year-old midfielder impressed for the Tigers against Brentford at Griffin Park yesterday. The game finished 1-1 after Jarrod Bowen’s 15th goal of the season earned the Tigers a draw just before half-time.

It could have been even better for Hull City in the second-half when Fraizer Campbell won a penalty after being tripped by Brentford goalkeeper Luke Daniels. However, Daniels saved Harry Wilson’s penalty in front of the travelling supporters.

Daniel Batty had a decent game in his first Championship appearance for Hull City. He made his debut back in August in a League Cup tie against Doncaster Rovers and also came off the bench for Hull in their FA Cup fixture against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge in February.

Batty, who spent time on loan at National League side Halifax Town, is being tipped for a big future at Hull and is expected to break into the first-team next season. The Tigers have seen Jarrod Bowen and Max Clark establish themselves in their starting eleven in this campaign.

Here is how Hull City fans reacted on twitter to Daniel Batty’s performance against Brentford yesterday-
