  • Adam Le FondreCardiff have fond memories of the Championship with their last campaign in the second tier resulting in the league title and promotion to the Premier League. They return after just one season in the top tier.
  • Plans are in place for an immediate return, however, with some big signings made throughout the summer. Strikers Adam Le Fondre and Federico Macheda join from Reading and Manchester United respectively and have plenty of experience at this level.
  • There have been some big exits for the Bluebirds; Frazier Campbell, Steven Caulker and Jordan Mutch have moved to Premier League sides and rumours grow over David Marshall and Gary Medal.
  • The Cardiff City Stadium has seen developments over the summer with the Ninian Stand having a second tier added taking the total attendance to around 33,000. You can not miss the expansion with bright red seats in place in line with Vincent Tan’s mission to literally paint the town red.
